I need aa bit of an idea on how to toughen up some troglodytes and a young Black Draagon in my game. My PC's are currently involved in the Forge of Fury ( I think that's the title) adventure that came out when 3rd ed was still new. Anyway, the dungeon is full of orcs, which I decided to give a level of fighter to because most all of the orcs in our setting were recently involved in a huge war of Orcs vs. Men. Now the PC's are coming up on some plain Trogs and I am wondering what I can do to spice them up a bit as well. I know I could alwaays up the number appearing but I would like aa different spice to the game. I don't have the adventure close at hand here but I believe they are led by a big 3rd level sorceror type Trog and they have a couple of pet giant lizards and such. Also later on is a young black draagon (CR 4) that I am afraid may not be up to the challenge of facing my party. I don't want them to die but I don't want them to win with out breaking a sweat at all. The party right now is almost 4th level. Everyone is either elf or 1/2 elf. It includes a rogue, fighter/wizard, druid with wolf, and a ranger rogue. There might be some deep dwarves in their as well, in fact I recall their are. any thoughts on a beef up for run of the mill deep dwarves?
