Well, I'm late to the party, but here are my 2 coppers: This is a really potent combination, if I may say so. If you also take 3 levels in Swashbuckler (for Int to damage instead of Str) and then go for the Duelist PrC (as well as a suitable Mage PrC) you could play up a dandy, street-wizrd person who's trained in the arcane arts. Also consider Beguiler (PHBII base class) instead of Wizard. They specialize in Enchantments/Illusions and get some nifty abilities and mesh really well with Rogue levels. IMO, if you want a pious arcanist, go with Favoured Soul/Sorcerer. You're already going to be eccentric since you are religious and whatnot, so why not be even more "wild" and go with Sorcerer? The big up over choosing Sorcerer over Wizard is the Cha for casting stat, which lessens the MAD problem. I should note that IMHO, the FS is a bit underpowered; ask your DM if he'd consider giving you a domain (with domain ability) for free at 1st level. It really picks up the slack ;) This would be very potent spell-wise, and would liekly make a good necromancer-type, if that's up your ally ;) Actually, with the number of spells per day it'd made a good anything. I'd pick Favoured Soul/Sorcerer over this though, due to the MAD however. If you think this is going to be a problem RPing-wise in the game, then I suggest you don't choose this path. Besides, the MAD bit kinda sucks, and then once you wildshape, half your stats don't matter. A moot point, IMO. --- I'd also still like to back the Archivist/Wizard idea. No MAD, and you can eventually learn *every* spell in the game. Also has great RPing oppertunity, since the divine-magic side focuses on lore and such, which is awesome. cheers, --N
