Message: <blockquote data-quote="RandomPrecision" data-source="post: 2108780" data-attributes="member: 29267">I still don't know the stats on your character, but it sounds to me that something is awry.  It's as if your balancing your character's advantages by giving him a negative ECL.  The ECL isn't a postive quality that can be lowered as a disadvantage, it's a measure of how strong a character is.  If you have penalties with advantages that balance them, you should have an ECL of whatever you'd normally have.  If you have a negative ECL, you're going to be behind the rest of the party, and if it's in the range of 3-5 (which seems like far too much for what you're discussing), you could potentially add the half-celestial template to get back up to the level of the rest of the party, which isn't right.  You should just dicuss the issue with your DM.  I don't think there would be any level adjustment for it, but if there is, you're going to have to have some significant disabilities due to your past.I wasn't aware the fey were like that...<img src="http://www.enworld.org/forum/images/smilies/paranoid.png"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":uhoh:" title="Paranoid    :uhoh:" data-shortname=":uhoh:" /></blockquote>
