ENERGY DRAIN ATTACKS
Each negative level deals 2 constitution damage.
If a creature deals the energy drain they get +2 constitution .
Creatures without a constitution score (such as undead) still gain the benefits of an increased constitution score. They gain 1 hit point per hit die or level they have and they gain +1 to their fort saves.
DEATH
When a character dies they gain a negative level. However the constitution damage is permanent. True resurrection is the only way to avoid this permanent penalty to constitution. Note also non-permanent effects to constitution are ignored when determining if a character dies permanently from a 0 constitution score.
SAVE OR DIE EFFECTS
Save or die effects deal con damage in addition to any damage they may cause do to the spell being successfully saved. The constitution damage is 2d6 + the spell level of the spell.
Example: Phantasmal killer deals 2d6+4 constitution damage and deals 3d6 damage on a failed save. If the save is made they only take 3d6 damage.
