So the face-to-face gaming group I play in finished a series of adventures set in Eberron and one of the players challenged the DM to come up with something "interesting and challenging". Is a death at the gaming table considered murder? Well our DM rose to the challenge! He found some material on making the Iron Kingdom RPG D&D 5e compatible and threw us into it!
So basically he made the Iron Kingdoms a "lost continent" on the world of Eberron and shipwrecked us on the coast. So we are having to pose as a group of mercenaries and having to fake knowledge of the technology. For those not familiar with Iron Kingdom, magic users called Warcaster control steamtech/arcana war engines called warjacks. Our Warforged is basically portraying itself as a light warjack while the rest of use are highly unequipped compared to other mercenaries in the setting.
Our DM is THE MAN!
