You know, I did this in my campaign. Baalzebul learned that Asmodeus planned to execute him, so, he and Belial attack Stygia and Malbolge to gain power for the upcoming attack. Levistus allied with Mephistopheles and the two attacked Maladomini, well Glasya ordered Fierna to try and seize control of Phlegethos and kill Belial. Mammon took advantage of the uprising in Phlegethos and attacked the plane. The battle continued and ended with Baalzebul gaining his original form and enough political power to avoid execution, as well as a few lords being replaced, and Mephistopheles gaining control of Maladomini (But Baalzebul gained control of Malbolge and gained large quantities of Devine Energy). First of all, you need to have a faction to start the battle. Mine was a mix of Baalzebul and Asmodeus. Then, think of the fighting factions and how the Arch Devils would react. Then, decide on an ending. For example, in mine Mammon, Fierna, and Belial's waring in Phelgethos ended with Belial and Fierna being replaced in favor of Nergal, an Outcast Duke. Outcast Dukes are great replacements for casualties of Infernal Wars, same with normal Dukes. Also, think of how the minions of the Arch Dukes would react. If Levistus were to start losing in the war, his minions would fear for their safety, and what better way to survive then betray their master in an attempt to gain favor with Levistus' enemies. Your Infernal Uprising could end with a new King of Hell, which would likely by Baalzebul or Mephistopheles, but it's your campaign, your choice. Lastly, if your making a new Duke/Outcast Duke/Arch Devil remember these two steps. 1. Pick a Sin or Two for the Devil to examplify 2. Give it a horrific appearence Now that you've done this, the rest will come naturally
