I'm new to the whole d20 thing, but RPGs have dominated a hefty chunk of my life since the Diablo days. I'm going to be moving to the Nap-town area at the beginning of August, but am looking to touch base with some local gamers/DMs ahead of time. Although my behind-the-dice experience is limited to basic 1-on-1 practice fights, I have the basic concepts and ideas of the D&D universe grasped and realized accordingly. All I'm really looking for is a seat at a mature, n00b-friendly group's table. I don't even necessarily have to play, if you're in mid-campaign. The opportunity to meet other players and sit in on a session would be more learning experience than I'm currently recieving. I plan on asking a lot of questions, and I'm still at the stage where I have to flip through my source book every three seconds for an answer to something. However, I'm a fast learner, and if I can teach myself how to play the drums, I'm sure that picking up D&D with a willing and capable group of dice veterans will be easy as pancakes. And man, are pancakes, like, the easiest thing in the world for me. I get a +10 against pancakes like you wouldn't believe. See? I can make d20 jokes. That counts for something, right? Don't tell me I read all of that OOTS for nothing. :P ~D
