Finally picked up my backlog of books. Haven't read them yet, but though I'd give a brief explanation of what I'm currently getting: JLA/Avengers #2 & #3 - The first issue was wonderful. Busiek and Perez have created a masterpiece here. I'll probably reread issue one before flowing into these two. Something great to do during a blizzard! The cover of issue #3 is incredible - with pictures of EVERYONE who was ever on either team! 1602 #4 - Loved the first three issues, and the the blind archer on the cover of this one looks great. Neil Gaiman is a great writer. I though his work on the Mr Hero book a few years back was terrific. Teen Titans #5 - This new series is interesting. I'm not overly fond of Johns writing on other books, but this has been consistently interesting. McKone's art is always great. On a related note, the comic shop still had a copy of Titans - Young Justice Graduation Day on the stands (which preceeded this series) that I picked up. I had seen the book at a recent comic show selling for 3x cover price due to the death of a major character. Exiles #37 & #38 - One of my favorite books these days and the only X title I collect. The concept is basically X-Men meets "Sliders" with a bit of "Quantum Leap" tossed in, with a team of X-Men from alternate realities going from world to world to effect changes. The team membership also keeps rotating members. The current lineup consists of Nocturne (daughter of Nightcrawler & the Scarlet Witch), Sunfire (Wolverine's old girlfriend Mariko), Magik, Sasquatch (Heather Hudson), Mimic (powers similar to the original X-Men character with the same name) and Morph (polymorphing powers & comic relief - similar to the "Beast Boy" character over in Teen Titans). They've also crossed path several times with a team called "Weapon X", which is a more ruthless sliders team made up of a combination of X-Men and Avengers. Issue #38 seems to be with that team, which has the current team linup of Gambit, Collossus, Storm, Vison, Ms Marvel and Spiderman. Ironman #74 - Part two of the Tony Stark becomes Secretary of Defense storyline. I enjoyed the last issue, and hopes that this team sticks with the book for a while. Knights of the Dinner Table #85 & #86 - A book that I'm sure most of you are already familiar with. Great D&D gaming related stories, many of which always seem hauntingly familiar! The back-up features are also fun to read, even though I don't play Hackmaster. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. II #5 & #6 - Yeah, I know, these have been out for a while.
