I picked up just a few comics this week myself. I was hoping to find the Berserk manga but my FLCS was sold out. :( Here's what I did get: Ultimates #12: If this series were monthly it'd be fantastic. As it is, I tend to think something along the lines of, "I waited this long and this is what I get...?" Still, Hitch's artwork is nice and there's some good stuff in there for nearly every member of the team, especially Captain America, thor, and Iron Man. Cap's got a pretty funny line: "Surrender!!?? You think this letter on my head stands for France?" There's also a setup for the next issue which seems much more promising since we'll get to see Ultimate Hulk let loose again. Formerly Known As The Justice League #6: Fun stuff. I'm not sure if they'd be able to pull it off as a monthly ongoing series, but a six issue miniseries every now and again ought to do the trick. I really dug how much crap Batman gives the Martian Manhunter in this. Plastic Man #1: More fun stuff! Kyle Baker's artwork is just beautiful, although I don't know if it'll be to everyone's tastes--it's VERY cartoony. I'm really curious to see where aker goes with this ad how long the series will actually last. Supeme Power #5: What a cool book. It's another one that will most certainly read better once it's collected into a trade paperback, but so far I've enjoyed the individual issues immensely. Ultimate Spider-Man #50: I've said it before and I'll say it again--Ult. Spidey is THE best superhero book on the market today. I get excited just seeing it on the shelf in the comic shop! This one inroduces the Ultimate version of the Black Cat, bad luck powers and all. Fun, fun, FUN!
