New Daylight Savings Time updates....

Windows Update has the DST update marked critical, so if you're using a (legit) copy of XP, 2003 or Vista, you can just run the updates and it'll be taken care of. If you're running Windows 2000 or earlier, there is no DST update, but you can find some info on manually correcting it.

Macs have the update marked automatic as well, so just run your Software Updates and apply everything.

Palm Pilots and similar hand held devices usually need an update, see their websites for details.

Java should also be updated. The latest version is 1.5.0_11, I think. http://www.java.com

Here's something disturbing...

The maintenance guys in my 36 story building had the control panel open for the elevators and were discussing what they needed to due to handle the new DST change.

I may skip work on Monday...

I'm trying to figure out, after following all of Microsoft's instructions, why all the apointments in Outlook on my machine are now an hour earlier than the ones on my Windows Mobile phone after the date of the change...

This time change was the stupidest thing ever. :]

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Wait, I work in a tall building w/ at least 40 floors.

And on thier best days the elevators barely work.

....

I might skip work on Monday as well.

Modern elevators have different modes for when people are coming into the building and when they leave. Since when it's the morning, or time to return from lunch, everyone wants to go in. And when it's quitting time, or the start of lunch, people want to leave the building. So they need to know what time it is.

All I know is if I make an appointment in Outlook, it shows up in my Treo an hour earlier. If I make an appointment on my Treo, it shows up in Outlook an hour earlier.

And stay out of elevators for awhile.

See you all later. I'll be hiding under a rock for awhile.

:)
