Oh, they're using that cover, are they? :)

Honestly, I'm very interested to see what the new Dragon will be like. I'm really happy that the "Buyer's Guide" will be included.

Although Dungeon does probably get used more in my campaign (as I use it for many adventures), recently there's been an influx of material from Dragon - notably the Greyhawk Regional feats and the Wild Reaper variant Druid class.

I rather hope that my players will look at the new Dragon and decide it is worth buying - they mostly haven't until now.

Cheers!

There hasn't been much buzz about the new Dragon yet simply because, as far as I know, most people haven't received it yet. I'm still waiting for my copy, and haven't heard of anyone else with theirs yet. We'll probably start seeing new threads on it in a few days when it begins to arrive.

ehh...

I think everyones like "ehh...who cares."

I mean given the limitaions of the genre what can they do to make people jump up and go ZOINKS!!!

The New Dungeon was OK...nothing to write home about unless you REALLY hated Polyhedron or something. There was some weird and when I say weird I mean bad Design/Layout things towards the back, it felt like it wasnt done/complete. Anyone else feel like that?

I was surprised that the new Font for the Title didnt bother me as much as it did when I saw a preview of it. Again its OK nothing to write home about.

Theres only 3 ways to run articles. Have them be all hardcore gamer pieces, all newbie pieces or a mix of the two. I really disliked the way they did Darksun and thought they shoulda gone the hardcore route on that one. I also dont agree with there reasoning behind it. But hey it their mag not mine.

Anyhow, what are you expecting? How would you change it to make it SUPER COOL! make me say ZOINKS!!!!

It arrived on Wednesday. Here is your predicted thread.

But in comparison, on these boards, folks were discussing and debating over the upcoming changes in Dungeon for a month before that magazine even shipped out to subscribers, however, I've seen very little talk about the format changes to Dragon and was just wondering if anyone was intersted.

I, for one, do not get as much enjoyment out of Dragon as I do Dungeon. Ususally, there is only an article or two in each Dragon that interest me beyond the initial read, and then only a select few of those actually make thier way into my game. So, for me, the changes to Dungeon were much more pertinent than those to Dragon (I wanted to make sure they didn't screw up my mag.).

It looks like Dungeon has fared well with the community, most seem to like the new format. I hope that Dragon is, likewise improved in its new format, and becomes more valuable to me. It seems, from the info on Thalmin's thread that the new Dragon will have about the same amount of stuff that will be interesting to me.

The changes to Dungeon were more pronounced than the changes in Dragon.
