New Feat: Avenger

Farland

Explorer
Avenger

If you can't protect your friends, you can be damn well sure you'll avenge them. You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase one ability score by 1, to a maximum of 20
  • Whenever an enemy causes a member of your party to become blinded, frightened, incapacitated, paralyzed, restrained or to suffer a critical hit, you gain advantage on your next attack roll or saving throw.
  • Whenever a creature causes one of your party members to drop to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to make a melee or ranged weapon attack against that creature.

I would limit the ability to gain advantage to attacks only not saves, and only against the enemy that imposed the condition on your ally.

Besides that, I think this is a great idea for a feat seems on par with other feats, good for pretty much any class to take it and has some nice roleplaying connotations built into it from just the name and mechanics. I could see myself wanting to take this sometimes and allow it in my games, good job.

I want to keep it useful, so for the lesser conditions, I want to keep it as next attack in general. But I can see your point about saves. Thanks.
