Prerequisite: 1 level of bard

You use the tales and songs of old to bolster your courage. You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Dexterity or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • You gain one additional use of bardic inspiration.
  • You can use your bardic inspiration on yourself.

A feat should be exclusively designed for one class only.

I think you meant to say should not be for one class only.

I do agree with that myself. Instead I think a feat that gives an extra use for bards or a couple uses for any other class would be better. It'd just have to drop the prereq and re-word the middle bullet. Otherwise it's fine.

You have storytelling training that can bolster courage. You gain the following benefits:


-You gain perform skill, if you don't already get it previously
-You get one bardic inspiration die, a d6 to inspire one creature other than yourself as per the bard feature. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest. This die cannot become a d8 or more at higher levels.
