This issue features two special items. The first, an in-depth analysis of the players and motives in the Kaldoric Succession Crisis. This article helps a GM sort out who is who in the messy politics of selecting Kaldor's next ruler. Other articles go even further and discuss the GM'ing aspects of GMing messy Civil War politics for anyone interested in using the crisis as a campaign setting in any setting.
The second special item is Zerula, the first of the “Ports of Call” articles. This article is an example of a short, idea-seed or backdrop treatment to an exotic locale. It is not intended to give a GM loads of statistics and location details, but to help fill in some color for a campaign.
