Hi all, I am hoping to form a 3.5 D&D group to game about 2-3 times a month, probably on Saturdays or Sundays but that's would be up to the group at large. I probably will run sessions at my place in Alexandria most of the time, but am not against traveling on occasion either. I am Metro accessible, and I'm extremely close to the Wilson Bridge (for any PG County Marylanders out there). The last campaign I DMed went very well but came to an end recently as high level campaigns sometimes do due to in game and real world issues. The group also fell apart due to jobs and some of the players graduating. To get a sense of my style of last campaign, see my website: http://gauthon.wikispaces.com/ . It doesn't have many graphics, but the text and house rules should give you an idea about what I generally allow. For a new group, I have one, maybe two, players from my last campaign currently on board. The definite player is a 'she,' and we both enjoy diverse groups, as they tend to make for the most interesting games. We're both in our mid-20s. I also have another player that I met elsewhere who is interested. So currently I'm hoping to find three more players. I hopefully would like to hold the first session of the campaign sometime in early July, but that's pending a few more players. Anyway, the D&D world described in on my website will not be the setting for my next campaign. I have decided to make a clean break, and am thinking about running a new homebrew using the core rules, stuff form the original four Complete books, Spell Compendium, and a few add on variants from a few other sources. I haven't purchased many of the new rulebooks lately, so if all you want is a game that uses nothing but the newest base classes then I might not be your cup of tea. I run games with a good mix of event based, player driven, and of course dungeon-based adventures. Most of my material is original, though I do pull some elements from Dungeon mags and the occasional published adventure. I am leaving the exact details of the game fuzzy currently, until I know what kinds of interests possible players have for a campaign. Hopefully I'll hear back from some of you. C.I.D.
