New Harry Potter on July 16 2005

I don't care if it's long, if it isn't just for the sake of being long. Rowling has managed to stay away from Jordan's model for the last few books of his series. As long as Half-blood Prince isn't 650 pages of nothing, one plot point, and 50 pages of cameo appearances at the end, it'll be fine with me.

Voldemort made me due it.

hehehehehehe....

(Runs by giggling)

I'm gonna get the Gold Snitch!

GhostWind, you Death Eater you!

(Clears throat)

Hem, hem...

And I thought OotP was just a bit over long. When I'm in bed trying to read it, its honestly too heavy to rest comfortably on my chest. I can breath with out trouble, it's just uncomfortable to hold the book up.

IIRC what she actually said was a very general statement:

---
Interviewer: Are you going to kill any more characters?
Rowling: Yes, sorry.
---

Anyway, while not trembling with anticipation, I'm looking forward to another book of simple, solid fun interlaced with hard as crack escapism. :)
