New Malhavoc Press Product

Requiem for a God, an event book that shows how to handle the death of a god in your campaign, is in stores now.

Game master notes detail the death’s repercussions on your campaign and new prestige classes tap into the departed god’s power. Characters can wield artifacts made of god-relics, as well as spells fueled by lingering divine essence. Meanwhile, dark creatures born of the god’s passing challenge adventurers of all levels. Tie-in scenarios feature power-mad villains seeking to hoard their new might, while cosmic forces move to realign the balance.

What's an Event Book?

If you are looking for a how-to guide for implementing a major event into your campaign, the event book line is for you. Requiem for a God is merely the first of many such products. Each takes a major event that could have interesting repercussions on your campaign and examines it thoroughly from every angle. It provides DM advice on staging the event, involving the PCs, and making the necessary changes to the campaign that result naturally from the event. Each event book also includes new NPCs, organizations (usually with associated prestige classes), and even rules, spells, magic items, and monsters that might be involved with the event. In short, it's everything you need to make that event a part of your own campaign. The focus here is that it is your campaign -- the event book is merely a guide. It doesn't force you into structured plots or leave you with no idea of what happens next.

It's in stores. Picked up my copy today. Thinking about killing a demi-god or so in the SL campaign as most of them don't get a lot of spotlight and I could probably introduce one and kill it without effecting the entire world too much.

If you're going to kill off one Joe, just kill of Nalthalos. He's dying already. Have him and Goran go at it one more time. That should be fun. :) Just leave Idra, Drendari, Erias and Nemorga. The rest...hey go nuts! :)

I've got the book already, and I really like the art within it :). Good quality and even linked to the context :D;).

I have to go and make a list of gods to take their hat now...;)

Hola Nightfall.

Actually, I was thinking of introducing some other small gods. I mean most of the demigods are unknown outside of their area anyway so it wouldnt' be a big deal.

I'm also looking through the book to see if there's anything I can use for the gods who've already fallen.

Well there's one that Garemon/Garry on the S&SS board is using. The death of Hadarus, son of Belsameth, created an energy well when he died, that's been moved a lot BECAUSE it was sought by many for it's power. Now what Hadarus is the god of, or his domains, no idea. But I'm sure you can come up with something.

New demi-gods are ALWAYS welcome. :)
