A new trailer for Prime Video's The Mighty Nein series has been released. Prime Video unveiled the new trailer, seen below, at New York Comic-Con this morning. The new animated series, an adaptation of Critical Role's second campaign, will be released in November. The trailer focuses on the Luxon Beacon, an artifact of power from the Kryn Dynasty. When a mage from the neighboring Dwendalian Empire gets his hands on it, war threatens to break out between the two countries. Based on the trailer, it appears that the Mighty Nein, a group of disparate heroes, are recruited to retrieve the Beacon and stop the threat. While The Mighty Nein and its sister series The Legend of Vox Machina are both adaptation of Critical Role's various campaigns, the shows have deviated significantly from the live campaigns. From media released for The Mighty Nein, the animated series will follow the characters before they meet up and it appears that Trent Ikithon will be the main villain of the first season.
