Ok, so I'm planning to have a PC built for university in the fall, and I had a couple of questions/requests/concerns/what-have-you about hardware (opinions too, please). A few points about what I'm looking for:
I'm looking for a system that will be able to support a capture card so that I can edit full-resolution (up to DivX) videos on it (with minimal frustration at the hardware, using Adobe Premiere), as well as be able to do Photoshop, and the newest games (i.e. Halo, Half-Life 2, Jedi Academy, etc.), and so it can support networking.
1. What kind of RAMmage am I looking at (or can I get) for about May/June 2004, as well as processors?
2. Suggested capture card.
3. Manufacturers, price, etc.
If there's any new news, I welcome it.
