New Official Rules for the Adventurer Card Game While we are waiting for the Portals Expansion to come out in July adding these rules to your Adventurer Games will add a whole new level of strategy to the game. 1: On a players turn instead of drawing a new card from the Castle Deck they may choose to investigate the top card of the discard pile. This is useful if the previous player missed their chance on getting a useful item such as a stake or a weapon. When we use this rule we take any burned cards, like used Healing Potions and Magic Fountain and place them on the bottom of the discard pile. Because those item are no longer accessible as they have been used up. 2: On a players turn instead of drawing a new card from the Castle Deck they may choose to attack another hero. They can not choose to attack the same hero two rounds in a row. The defending hero only has to meet or beat the attack of the attacker, just as if he was a monster. And likewise the defender always wins by rolling double 6’s. The winner of the battle may choose to take an item of their choice from the loser or make the loser loose 1 Life Point. (Note, on the card Gary Gygax made, Shade the Trickster, Shade may not use his ability against other players) Let me know of any questions, and good luck. Kerry
