Fists of the Ruby Phoenix is a fan favorite AP, and the lore books in this one are some of the better ones. Dark Archives has one of the community's favorite classes - the Thaumaturge.

It's a freaking huge one. The Tian Xia stuff alone is a big discount, and they even slipped Dark Archive and Travel Guide in there. I had most of the T1 and T2 books already but still got my money's worth.

Pathfinder lore fans often note Travel Guide as a favorite book. Self included. It's a whole book on just what is life like for people in the setting. Things like fashion, foods, sports, common games, trade routes, holidays, and so much more. I'll be mining this book even when I start running Daggerheart, alongside some old d20 world building books I bought 20 years ago. Those old books were difficult reads, this one is easy to go through.


The Tian Xia world and character guides are newer items, and show how much Paizo's lore writing quality has improved in recent years. The quality of the material is just really up there. It's a good buy for anyone wanting an Asian themed game, or for any Pathfinder lore fan. The World Guide would even be useful for an Asian themed game using a different rules system because no other tRPG publisher comes close to it in quality.

Having three of the core remaster books and the beginner box makes it an ideal buy for anyone considering trying out pathfinder.
