I guess the info if there is anything in Sigil who could help you is up to how generous your DM is with his Knowledge (Planar Factions) skill check opportunities. ;) But depending on the character who accompanied you, what he heard of the whole deal and your character's contacts with the Anarchists, you could do some of the following: - try to convince that character that the reward is, at first, non-material, but that you got some information that will prove valuable to the whole group. - try to buy him off, plain and simple. Offer him enough that his share of the sword is covered, and ask him to keep his mouth shut about who got the sword. If he asks why, tell him you got your reasons that needn't concern him. Tell the others a good story about having been ripped off by a concealed member of another group who wanted that sword. - contact the Anarchists, ask them for assistance in staging up an ambush on your character to steal some "important papers" that you were given as reward for the sword. The ambusher has to dress up as a member of a rival faction. That way, you can convince your group to attack their rival, which might convince your faction to help you with the scam. - As the good Doctor put it: "Nice to meet you, Rose Tyler. Now run for your life!" If you don't see any chance for a good way to keep your character in the group, try to get her out of it without getting killed, and preferably in a way that enables her to get back in at a later point, maybe with a good story about why she fled. Ask if you can play another character inbetween and return your sorceress one adventure later, maybe with a good treasure map to buy her some slack from her old teammates. Oh, and of course the steak dinner and massage hints should be taken seriously. Nothing like a well-fed, relaxed DM to make your game easier. ;)
