Lantanese Musketeer Prerequisites: To qualify to become a Lantanese Musketeer, a character must fulfill all the following criteria: Base Attack Bonus: +5 Feats: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Sharp-Shooting (CW), Exotic Weapon Proficiency (firearms) Skills: Craft (Gunsmith) 5 ranks, Craft (Alchemy) 5 ranks, Concentration 2 ranks Hit Die: d8
Base Attack Fort Ref Will Level Bonus Save Save Save Special 1st +1 +2 +2 +0 Deadly Precision +1d10, Gunmastery 2nd +2 +3 +3 +0 Rapid Reload 3rd +3 +3 +3 +1 Deadly Precision +2d10 4th +4 +4 +4 +1 Close Combat Shot 5th +5 +4 +4 +1 Deadly Precision +3d10 6th +6 +5 +5 +2 Lightning Reload 7th +7 +5 +5 +2 Deadly Precision +4d10 8th +8 +6 +6 +2 Grievous Critical 9th +9 +6 +6 +3 Deadly Precision +5d10 10th +10 +7 +7 +3 Extended Precision
Class Skills: The Lantanese Musketeer's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Jump (str), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sleight of Hand (Dex), and Spot (Wis). Class Features: All of the following are class features of the Lantanese Musketeer prestige class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Lantanese Musketeers gain proficiency with light armor. Deadly Precision (Ex): As a standard action, a musketeer may make a single precisely aimed attack with a firearm, dealing an extra 1d10 points of damage if the attack hits. When making a deadly precision attack, a musketeer must be within 30 feet of his target. A musketeer's ranged precision attack only works against living creatures with discernable anatomies. Any creature that is immune to critical hits (including undead, constructs, oozes, plants, and incorporeal creatures) is not vulnerable to a deadly precision attack, and any item or ability that protects a creature from critical hits (such as armor with the fortification special ability) also protects a creature from the extra damage. Unlike with a rogue's sneak attack, the musketeer's target does not have to be flat-footed or denied its Dexterity bonus, but if it is, the musketeer's extra precision damage stacks with sneak attack damage. Treat the musketeer's deadly precision attack as a sneak attack in all other ways. The musketeer's bonus to damage on deadly precision attacks increases by +1d10 every two levels. Gunmastery (Ex): Levels in Lantanese Musketeer count as fighter levels for the purpose of qualifying for Weapon Specialization, Greater Weapon Focus, and Greater Weapon Specialization, but only when the weapon focused and specialized in is either a musket or a pistol. Additionally, a Lantanese Musketeer adds half his class level to Craft (Gunsmith) checks and Alchemy checks used to produce gunpowder. Rapid Reload (Ex): At 2nd level, a musketeer can reload a musket or pistol as a move action instead of a standard action. Close Combat Shot (Ex): At 4th level, a musketeer can attack with a musket or pistol while in a threatened area and not provoke an attack of opportunity. Lightning Reload (Ex): At 6th level, a musketeer can reload a musket or pistol as a free action once per round. Grievous Critical (Ex): At 8th level, a musketeer does x4 damage on a critical when using a musket or pistol. Extended Precision (Su): At 10th level, a musketeer can attack with unnatural precision. He can make deadly precision attacks at a range of up to 60 feet but no more than one range increment.
