New put down

I've found a new way to put down a PC.

The 3rd level party in my game was fighting a bunch of kobolds, killing one with each successful hit, as would be expected. Then the proud elven archer shot a kobold with his composite longbow and did 2 points of damage.

I said, "You wounded a kobold."

I think I'll make that a regular catch phrase. "Congratulations! You wounded a kobold."

Heh. For some reason, the first thing I thought of was the old baseball put-down: "warning track power".

Oooh, ouch!

You WOUNDED a kobold!? That's truly painful for a character who wants to act all heroic. A lucky housecat could take out a kobold.
