ok, I worked on this all night, tell me what you think. I'm trying to think of something else like +x rolls against y monster or additional save or skill bonuses since the other core races get so many. well here goes Ursur Ursans are known for their fierce demeanor and uncompromising personality. They battle with a fever unknown to any other race, but can be kind and even playful. They prefer the company of rock and tree, but are sought after for their skill as guides and for their battle prowess. Personality: The Ursur society is one marked with extremes. Most tend to be quiet and calm, left alone one hardly notices they're there. When threatened, an Ursur can be the most fearsome foe ever faced. Ursurs make slow friends, but can be counted upon when in need. They also have a long memory for enemies as well. Physical Description : There are many types of Ursurs; there is the common ursur, as well as two major subraces, and many minor ones. The major Ursur race stands from a little over 6 feet all the way up to 7 and half feet tall. They tend to be very broad in build with a light coating of light to dark brown fur. Their faces tend to reflect more of a muzzle shape. Women are slightly smaller than men in all ursine races. The first of the major subraces, the black Ursur, tends to be smaller then their more common counterparts, only about 4 and a half to 5 and a half feet in height. They also tend to have lighter, black coats. The final subrace is the North Ursurs, they are slightly larger then their southern cousins, from 6 and a half to a whopping 8 feet in height. Their coats have become thicker and white to help more in a wintry climate. Ursurs are considered adults by age 25 and live up to 150 years of age. Relations: Ursurs are amiable toward all races, but friendly with few. They find dwarves too stalwart and unmoving. They also disagree with their need to live underground. Ursurs find halflings and elves to be kind companions but too chaotic to keep around, and humans are so complex they are best avoided entirely. Ursurs despise evil humanoids, gnolls and orcs the most, but goblinoids and others are not far behind. Alignment: Ursurs are kind and warm-hearted creatures, inclined to good. They also tend to be more neutral, neither strict in regiment nor airy and unpredictable. Ursine Lands : Ursurs prefer the solitude of the forest, rarely living in clans of more than 20. Ursurs may form a community near human lands but almost never live among them. Their homes consist of a subterranean den but they rarely remain underground unless at night. Religion: The Ursine religion is one in reverence of nature. They have more druids then clerics among their ranks but do worship may nature deities. Language : Ursurs speak Ursur, but use the dwarvin alphabet. They commonly learn the language of races who they share their land including gnome, halfling and elvin. The may also learn the language of dryads and fairies whom the encounter often, as well as the speech of their enemies the gnoll and orcs.
