Here is a custom race that I designed for my homebrew world, not to much meat about setting yet, but this is a start. I would appreciate any advice, to strong/weak, boring, etc. Tigrana Buried deep within the northern jungles on the wild continent of Trishana, there lives a mysterious race of creatures. This race, known as Tigrana, is fairly unknown and highly misunderstood. The most common belief is that they are the result of an ancient magical experiment whose creator is long since dead and forgotten. Whatever their origins, their reputation is one of great reverence and respect for their mastery of the forest. The Tigrana’s innate acrobatic skill and fearlessness are well know and highly regarded as equal to none. Personality The Tigrana are a proud race and have a deep reverence for the forest from which they live. Although not openly hostile to outsiders entering their villages, they often treat new comers with suspicion, powerfully aware that any disturbance of the delicate balance that supports the jungle could mean then end of their way of life. Physical Description Tigrana are cat like people. Their faces are feline in nature, with a very short muzzle and a cleft upper lip. Tigrana have feline ears as well as whiskers. Color can vary from an orange to a dark brown or a pail white to a deep black. Their bodies are also banded with striped pattern, their color can be from light tan to brown or black, and are usually darker than the main coat. Tigrana eyes have a slit pupil and are light reflective. Tigrana also possess a fur covered tale that is very feline in nature. Its length is about 1/3 the Tigrana’s height. The Tigrana race has a strong dichotomy between the sexes. Males are very large, many over 6 ½ feet tall. Females, short even to human standards, are only 5 to 5 1/2 feet tall. The Tigrana male weigh about 170 to 230lbs. Female Tigrana Only weigh about 90 to 105lbs, and averaging little more then 5 feet tall. Female Tigrana are sometimes mistaken for another, much smaller race. Society The Tigrana society is very unique. The society is ruled by elders, who hold great respect in the community. An Elder is a Tigrana, both male and female, from 35 to 50, which act as a council to make decisions regarding the village. Religion The Tigrana worship Sharlea who they believe created them and is the giver and protector of their ancestral home. The Goddess Sharlea is the goddess of Woodlands, the Hunt, and the patron goddess of the Tigrana race. Only female Tigrana are excepted as Clerics in the service of Sharlea. Tigran has no alphabet of their own, and are unlikely to have a need for writing, although if necessary they will use the Elvin or human alphabets. Adventurers A Tigrana adventure is often an individual that has become curious about the world beyond their won.
