[I haven't posted anything else yet because the post seemed to have drawn no attention] I was trying to keep the chuch aside from the PC for the first levels (so that they couldn't start as a divinel class). Anyway a possible continuation could be: following some quest like pursuing an assassin, or someone that has a piece information that must be found (or kept secret) the characters arrive in the medieval country (monotheistic). There they could have big problems, supposing they have a Mystic, an Alchemist, or even an Artist (Ex: "one of those strangers is a sorceror, he is in contact with devils of the lower worlds, we must imprison them, interrogate them and then burn them in the holy flame on Aylar's althar to purify them" said the Aylar Parish of the town, that is also the major; and he sent his guards to the inn. He didn't say that he was actually interested in their belongings, expecially those potions ...) Maybe I could make a "Clockwork Engineer" PrC, also (good for gnomes). Other possible conflics: I) in the medieval country there is a small number of nobles (who call themselves "the metal sires") that dislike the religion of Aylar and expecially the power that this cult has in the land, and are trying a way to overthrow it. But some notice of this has arrived to the church, who is trying to find a way to have them considered "evil and treacherous, allied with devils" and have them deposed. 2) still there, there is a fellowship of priests that belive in poverty and humility (a bit like the friars following St. Francis in the middle ages). Common people is starting to follow them, and the church is also frightened by this. 3) in the eastern lands a prince has changed his ruling style, becoming very dispotic and totalitarist. And, having a good military power, has conquered the neighbouring cities. 4) even in the advanced towns of the west there is someone that dislike progress, and many commoners are starting to make public riots against simbols of that progress (libraries, alchemist shops, complicate clockwork statues). Actually someone belives that this has been organized by a small group of people very able to influence the opinions of the people; but they are very difficult to find.
