New Revenge of the Sith Commercials and Music!

[The Serge]

Two new commercials are available for Revenge of the Sith.

The first, The Dark Side Unleashed, features the opening cords of The Imperial March as Darth Vader (I'm calling him Vader rather than Anakin since, by this time, he's been consumed by the Dark Side) leads storm troopers into the Jedi Temple. From there it transitions into some new images from the film, including new fight footage between Vader and Kenobi and more footage of Darth Sideous.

The second, Tragedy, not only has a lot of great dramatic shots, but features what is supposed to be the dominant theme for the new film. Entitled "Battle of the Heroes," it's reminiscent of the choral music played when Luke Skywalker overpowers Vader in the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR MAY 3RD WHEN THAT SOUNDTRACK'S RELEASED!

Tragedy is definitely the best of the three, and the last shot with Anakin screaming "No!" is a huge moment that they're cutting off right before things go crazy spoiler wise.

I came home from Midnight Madness at the local TRU on Friday night/Saturday morning to find these things were up. Good thing to find after walking home with sweet, sweet Revenge of the Sith loot.

EDIT: Also, should mention that there is actually NO new music in any of the trailers. They're purposely using old music(mostly the RotJ Lightsaber Duel) for all of the trailer clips. We'll have to wait until May 3rd to get the real stuff(though the main title leaked and spread through the net a week or so ago)

Right... Although one of the trailers is just an accelerated version of the teaser trailer from November. I saw no reason to mention it.

Actually, that's not true. There is new music throughout both commercials, although "Tragedy" features all new music. The choral in that commercial is from "Battle of the Heroes," the main theme (apparently) of the new film. As I said in the initial post, it's very similar to the music Williams used in RotJ. It's similar to what WB did with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone some years ago when they used most (if not all) of Hedwig's Theme for the trailer.

Hmm...seems you're right. There's supposed to be a clip from the soundtrack up on Hyperspace today, though they haven't said what, its been assumed that it'll be Battle of the Heroes, and possibly even the full version of it.
