scarred lands Does Fenrilik lay to the north or south? (the atlas of the realms was the best thing they ever came out with for FR . . . but I digress) The dragon lands has . . . potential! mainly I was wondering where the major points of commerce with the other lands were situated. (as a major point of commerce, ie port is more likely to have some of the more exotic races.) Graf - I used your idea for a guest speaker from the phylactric vault but I took it a step farther and made him an Arcane. it REALLY freaked the pc's out to see in their words a "7' tall blue smurf with horns". I had his speciality be planer geography so the new mage was sure to listen to his talk (although at 2nd level most of it was quite beyond his grasp), unfortunatly the barbarian was the other pc who wanted to hear it (I discriped his speech as a lecture spoken in the language of mathamatics) after his lecture the barb forced his way up to him to figure out how he could get back home (it was sad) the answer he got was 1st you have to know where home is then you have to know where you are before you can even begin to plot a path home. One of the other mages piped in with " if you don't even understand that answer then how do you expect to ask the right questions to get the answers you seek - which you wouldn't understand anyway" thats when it got into a pissing contest between a mage and the barb, both were "planer travelers" though there was no intention, direction or control on the part of the barb. The barb also found out that names of the continants and major cities are not going to be as much help as an astrological chart. and that it's REALLY expensive to consult the type of sage and have said sage engage in that type of reaserch nessicary to get him home. oh well now he has another long term goal (hehe):D
