New set of feats for spellcasters wanting high DC's

First off - These feats are meant to replace the Greater Spell Focus feats. Those feats shouldn't exist in a game that has these.

Break Will

Thwart Fortitude

Outpace Reflexes

Each of these feats grants a +2 bonus to the save DC's of spells that give the named saving throw. In effect, these are direct counters to the Lightning Reflexes, Iron Will, and Great Fortitude feats, much as School Defense is a direct counter to Spell Focus.

Well, why don't you just replace Spell Focus with these altogether? So, instead of picking a school to use Spell Focus on, you pick a save. Spell Focus (Fortitude), Spell Focus (Reflex), Spell Focus (Will).

The problem I have with this is, a +2 jump is still very significant. Even if you link it to saving throw, it's still a situation where most casters only need one. Enchanters need Will, Evokers need Reflex... that sort of thing.

In fact, let's make the whole thing more generic. Get rid of Greater Spell Focus, Spell Penetration, etc. and roll them all into one Feat.

SPELL FOCUS:
Select one of the following: any one magic school (Evocation, Necromancy, etc.), any one saving throw type (Fortitude, Reflex, Will), or any one spell descriptor (Mind-Affecting, Fire, Death, etc.)

Benefit: When casting any spell with the appropriate school/save/descriptor, the save DC is increased by 1, the caster's level is treated as 1 higher for the spell's purposes (effects, range, duration, caster level checks, etc.), and any attack rolls required by the spell receive a +1 competence bonus.

This Feat may be taken multiple times; a new school, save, or descriptor must be selected each time. If these overlap within a specific spell, the effects of this Feat stack with itself. For example, if someone took this Feat three times and selected Evocation, Reflex, and Fire, his save DC and caster level would increase by 3 when casting Fireball.

Anyway, I'm sure there's some way to abuse this. Any thoughts?

Hmm...too good. I don't like the new Spell Focus, but the old Spell Focus was probably about right. This is too powerful. Consider that Break Will encompasses pretty much all of Spell Focus (Enchantment), Spell Focus (Illusion), Spell Focus (Divination), a smidgeon of Spell Focus (Transmutation), some Spell Focus (Abjuration) and a trace of Spell Focus (Conjuration), it's not hard to see that this is too powerful.

Perhaps lower it to +1- then it would be roughly in line with the old Spell Focus in terms of utility (though not as good as the overpowered Spellcasting Prodigy).
