This spell has been referred to as a benchmark for every awful smell in our game ... and its never been cast. When our party's dearly beloved kobold sorcerer once spoke of a smell in pidgin common as 'bad as Goblin Fart', it was assumed that he meant a spell ... and so it got made. However, not everyone in the world should suffer like the Paladin when I say those words. As such, I've found a somewhat better name for it. Here is the spell: Smell Bad Transmutation Level: Sor/Wiz 1 Components: V, S, M Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Target: Corporeal Creature Touched Duration: 1 round/caster level Saving Throw: Fort negates Spell Resistance: Yes As per stinking cloud, but the cloud is affixed to the squares that the creature occupies. The targeted creature is immune to the effects of the spell, the Fortitude save prevents the spell from taking effect. In a sense, the creature is temporarily changed to exude a noxious nauseating stench. Anyone occupying an adjacent square to the affected creature when they take their initiative or that makes an attack of any sort from an adjacent square may be affected. Anyone attempting to grapple the affected creature must make their save or be unable to initiate the grapple. Material component: A rotten egg, or several skunk cabbage leaves.
