As a bunch of long-time players, our group is often frustrated when we realize that we have everything we need to easily beat the current Baddie our DM has thrown at us. That is, we used to... in our previous characters. ARRRGH!!! So we suggest this spell to the community and hope that it will become common enough to be included in future core rulebooks. Besides mixing it up against baddies, you could also use it when your party's Paladin reveals to the group that he's really a 16th level Blackguard, hence the will save. heh heh, take that Mr. "I once played a gnome bard". New Suggested Spell: Summon Alternate Character Conjuration (Summoning) [see text] Brd 6, Clr 6, Drd 6, Sor/Wiz 6 Components: V, S, M, F/DF Casting Time: 1 round Range: Touch Effect: One summoned Character Duration: 1 round/level (D) Saving Throw: Will Partial Spell Resistance: Yes This spell summons an extra-campaign-al character (a character played in a previous adventure). Unless the target succeeds at a will save, the alternate character of your choosing appears where the target was previously standing and acts on the target's next turn. On a successfull save the current character and desired alternate character are mashed together in a possibly grotesque amalgam of a character with a 50% chance of each ability score, skill, feat, or any other characteristic being from either character. S/He is fully under the target player's control for the duration of the spell, just as if it were their usual character. The character appears adjusted to the same level as the character it is replacing, with all the equipment S/He possesed at that level. The new alternate character need not be one who survived a previous adventure. A summoned character cannot summon or otherwise conjure another character, nor can it use any teleportation or planar travel abilities. Characters cannot be summoned into an environment that cannot support them. When you use a summoning spell to summon an air, chaotic, earth, evil, fire, good, lawful, or water creature, it is a spell of that type. Material Component(s): A blank scroll Focus(es): A feather quill, 4 (not necessarily marked correctly) chance cubes. Other Suggested Spells: Summon Alternate Villain (8th level) Summon Alternate DM (9th level)
