I created this template by reverse engineering the Lifeleech Otyugh from MM3. And if you need a sample creature, that is it. I hope you like it ;) ---------- Lifeleech Template Lifeleech is a template that can be added to any corporeal aberration, referred hereafter as the base creature. The Lifeleech creature uses all the base creatures abilities, except as noted here. HD: HD is increased by three; this does not change the size of the base creature. But it increases the base creatures BAB, saves, and the save DC’s of its special abilities. Speed: Increase the speed of all the movement types the base creature possess by 20’ Armor Class: The base creatures natural armor is reduced by 3, this cannot reduce the creatures’ natural armor bonus to less than 0. The base creature also gains a +4 deflection bonus to AC due to its spell-strengthened hide (see below) Attacks: The base creature gains two tentacle attacks in addition to any attacks it possessed earlier. They deal damage according to the following table, dependant on the base creatures size or the base creatures tentacle damage, whichever is higher. Size Damage Fine 1 Diminutive 1d2 Tiny 1d3 Small 1d4 Medium 1d6 Large 1d8 Huge 2d6 Gargantuan 2d8 Colossal 3d6 Special Attacks: The base creature retains all it’s special attacks except diseases. Special Qualities: The base creature retains all the special qualities of the base creature and gains the following: Fast Healing (Ex): The Lifeleech creature heals 5 hp each round as long as it has at least one hp. Lifeleech Aura (Su): Whenever a spell or spell-like ability with the healing descriptor is used on a creature within 60’ of the lifeleech creature, the creature gains the benefit of the healing spell as if it had been one of the spell’s targets. If a healing spell cast within 60’ of the lifeleech creature would grant it enough hit points to exceed its full normal total, it gains the remaining hit points as temporary hit points. A lifeleech creature can’t have more temporary hit points from its lifeleech aura than its full normal hit point total. Temporary hit points gained in this manner last for 1 hour. This ability affects spell completion and spell trigger items (such as scrolls, staffs, and wands), but not other magic items. Spell-strengthened hide (Su): The skin of the lifeleech creature has been infused with magical energy, granting it a +4 deflection bonus to its armor class. Abilities: Str +16, Dex +6, Con +10, Int +2, Wis +6, Cha +2, Environment: As base creature Organization: As base creature Challenge Rating: As base creature +3 Treasure: As base creature Alignment: Evil (any) Advancement: As base creature modified for the increased HD. Level Adjustment: +6 ---------- Comments? Critizism? Cookies? Bring it on! :D
