I concede that I forgot about the Monster Rating, that's clearly T&T-derived. It's also quite similar mechanically to classic T&T. The new "Saving Rolls," not so much. They still feel like a whole new mechanic with the old name slapped on. Which is pretty much how this new edition feels on the whole. Not sure what you're getting at with regard to the T&T Crusaders of Khazan computer game (which I do own and play), though. Unless it's the fact that the T&T CRPG doesn't use simultaneous combat? If that's what you're referencing, unless you have conformation from Scott Malthouse that he was specifically influenced by that game, it sounds like a reach. Most RPGs don't use simultaneous combat. It's equally, if not more likely that Malthouse took his inspiration from any number of other places. I'm legitimately curious asnto what you mean when you say that you "got an email" from Rebellion. I received polite replies to my inquiries and suggestions, but little else. If that's what you got, I'm not sure that qualifies. Don't get me wrong, I'm not owed anything. But Webbed Sphere did at one point, make an appearance on the Trollbridge forums and solicit opinions, for all the good it ended up doing. Edit: even if this is fully derived from T&T (and I remain unconvinced), it is, as one longtime fan described it, "precisely what the hobby doesn't need: another bland fantasy game." I can see no circumstance in which I would reach for this over classic T&T, or any number of other fantasy RPGs. To me, the difference between classic T&T and ANA is like the difference between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and the cartoons. I hope they have as much success as that franchise did. But I won't be tuning in. And I suspect I'm not alone.
