Thanks guys! I really appreciate the plugs. At least you all know where to find me as I post frequently here and Nutkinland. :D Lately, with the number of gaming releases every week it's been a little harder to keep up than a year ago. Did you all know that in about 2 months there's been something like 20 hardcover releases with 90% being D20 related? It's been nuts to say the least. **** Newwave's problems are probably two fold: One, they discount too much. Once you start down the path of discounting you have to make it up in bulk sales. The percentage you're taking off is just that much more that is used for overhead or money to pre-order more product. The more you discount the less you have to work with. If there is anything that will kill your business in rapid succession it's massive discounting (25%+). Two, they're ordering from unreliable sources. Judging from the selection Newwave ordered a lot of minis from Europe. What can Newwave do if they don't deliver? Nothing, because NW is in the US. Where as with Reaper I can go down to the companies' address and pick up my stuff directly. I know exactly what the delay is if there is one and I can be in constant communication. I won't go into the massive discounting debate again because frankly there are people who think it's me just being cheap but the reality is I've seen what it does to the "industry" and retailers who do it. Massive discounters burn bright and burn out fast. ~Derek
