New World - Phithesis

Here are the primary races of my new world.

Swamps

-Necrophiles -Race of near undead humans that worship a very powerful crocodile demon. for their stats, just add undead traits and ignore the part about not having a constitution score. They use a lot of voodoo and have bred with nighthags and vampires willingly.
-Crocophiles -Race of crocodilian lizard men that serve the mighty crocodile lord as his guardians. The females are the demons concubines.
_Azaphiles -Race of amorphous blob men. Imagine a really fat sumo wrestler...then imagine his mother.
-Pedephiles -Giant foot people. People with feet so huge that they can rock back and forth on them.

Mountains
-Rockfolk -Little people made of rocks. Similar to galeb dur only smaller.
-Treefolk -People who live in trees and wear big baby bonnets.
-Mudfolk -goblinoids made of human waste. Often they try to crawl back into the "butt-womb".
-Picklefolk -Those fey folk who are obssesed with pickles in all their forms.

Plains
-Whisperskinners -Teeny people with big butcher knives. Akin to giants...but tiny.
-Whisperstompers- Teeny people with horseshoes nailed into the soles of their feet. Very unpleasant folk.
-Whisperstinkers -Teeny people with a very bad smell. Its not them...it's the corpses they drag behind them.
-Whisperbags -Large round flying bubble butts with horrendous faces. They expel gasses to propel themselves through the air. They eat anything, but prefer other whisper folk.

I find the races called Necrophiles and Pedephiles... disturbing (I know that's not how you spell paedophile, but still, it'll sounds awfully like it at the gaming table!)

I think Whisperstinkers have potential. They should have 'animal' (ie, corpse) companion as a racial ability

No offense intended if this is a serious posting, but I do honestly find it hard to envision your typical gaming group not laughing, a lot, at some of your creations. Now, on the other hand if you're purposely aiming for a fantasy setting with a satirically humourous theme, then you're right on the money in my books!

Actually my gaming group is quite fond of satirical humor. So Ill ignore the whiner. In fact Ill ignore the whole lot of Ark wahatevers group of freindlies. Just so I dont have to hear them anymore....Anyhoo...back to SERIOUS gaming...for those of you I havent iggied....here are my responses.

I actually use these races as comedy relief...and yes there are LOT of laughs. Gaming is all about good times.

the Crocodilian demon has a huge pit he calls "THE PIT"...in it he throws all who offend him. At the bottom of this pit are literally hundreds of thousands of rotting ghouls.

The hags animate whatever the ghouls dont eat.

....dante, there's a line between humor and bad humor. The first and fourth races in your post are definitely the latter. Were I to have joined your gaming group and seen those races on a sheet of campaign details or options, I would be morally offended and disgusted, and immediately walk out, never to return. Some subjects simply should not be joked about. If not for those sorts of inclusions, I wouldn't have any objection.

That might not be a bad idea...I like the idea of animal companion corpse. Or maybe something similar like..."corpse companion" and list all the diseases they spread by contact.

Sure would make being a paladin a good thing.

Comic relief. Okay, then I can only assume that your *-ophile races are so named to allow for the deliberate "humour" of the necrophile & paedophile "jokes"... The reason I say this is that your race descriptions don't really support the names. For one, there doesn't seem to be any Greek influence, so even using the "phile" suffix is a stretch.

That aside, then there is the fact that your Necrophiles are described as worshipping a croc demon. There doesn't appear to be anything in there that would suggest that their very cultural identity is centered around loving the dead, if anything they should be the ones called "crocophiles" since they worship a crocodile demon... Your other races have similar metagame inconsistancies as well.

Still... if you and your group enjoy this kind of thing, then fill your boots. Not really my cup of tea. Seems kinda juvenile really. I can picture a group of guys all giggling, "haha, you said pedophile! MY whisperbag ranger farts over and eats you!" ("hilarity" ensues...)
