Fortunately I'm at a pretty stable weight and a good starting place right now; and fortunately I am eating more healthily than I have in years. Unfortunately I am not increasing my exercise efforts. My mini-goal is to make sure I get my bike up on my trainer down in the basement so I can "go for a ride" when the urge strikes. But exercise, for me, needs to be more of a habit than "when the urge strikes." In the summer it's easy -- I bike or hike every day or every other day. In the winter it's harder, for a variety of reasons. Yet if I don't, I lose ground for the next summer; too much of next summer will be spent huffing and puffing to get into shape so I can enjoy riding and hiking. It's a vicious circle. I have a job where I get home about 4pm almost every day. I have aerobic videos and some weights and my bike and an exercise area and a nice neighborhood where I could go walking or jogging (even when it's cold). There is no reason in the world why I can't use 45 min to 1 hour between 4 and 6 pm to do some kind of exercise. The key to this will be saying "no" to the computer between 4 and 6. Maybe it's because I'm realizing all of the stuff I'll never get to do if all I do is run the same character for 3 years (or run the same campaign). I am going to continue my current campaign but I'm also going to seek out some folks who want to be in a more "round robin" style group where each person will take responsibility for running one-shots or mini-campaigns (2-3 adventures tops). I have tons of Dungeon mags and other modules I'd love to run (or play in).

[QUOTE="EricNoah, post: 1935055, member: 4"] Simplify. Cut out some of the clutter. This means cleaning out my office and getting rid of a bunch of RPG and other stuff I'm not using, or at least box it up and store it somewhere. (Mrs. Noah and I are making a good start on some pre-spring cleaning -- need to keep it up! Lots of stuff to toss or donate or otherwise get rid of.) Diet and exercise. Perhaps I should be more specific. :) I started keeping a journal about 10 years ago and every other entry since then mentions diet and exercise.
