New York -> Milwaukee (Gen Con)

Could not find cheap enough a plane ticket to get me to Milwaukee. Though it doesn't come as a surprise, I'm still trying to worm my way to Gen Con. Hotel and pass wouldn't be a problem (thanks to a friend) but going there still is. Isn't there anyone here driving to Milwaukee from New York? I could help paying for the carburant.

I managed to book some cheap tickets just yesterday. I found it via travelocity.com - it was only about $175 per person. Goes via Chicago, though.

Midwest Express Airlines publishes special cheap fares twice a week (Tues. and Thurs.) in the email and on their website.

Two bonuses if you end up flying Midwest Express:
  1. Milwaukee is their headquarters & main hub, so a lot of the cheap fares are to/from Milwaukee.
  2. Seats on ME are only two across, so they're much roomier!

Darkness: Yeah, I know, I'm nothing but a shadow of my former self... no wait... As about Gary, we're still exchanging e-mails, so I had already wished him a happy birthday. And survived.

Angelic Claw: Yeah, I went to my two Gen Cons by train. Not so much cheaper, in spite of Student Advantage, and the first time, on my way back, it got delayed for 15+ hours. I was in the train and rather sick (on the very day I had left for the con, I had been operated on), so now I'm pretty wary, even though Amtrack offered me another ticket to compensate---which I used to get to my second Gen Con.

Morrus, Barrend: Interesting! I've got to have a look. Thanks.
