Hmm. Big turn out of newbs (ANd not-so newbs...) Players that're in: Duder Doghead Bruin Thels Tailspinner Shaff SplitMage Batchie Sorry Knight, Six, Kit, Uriel, and GW, but you guys'll have to be the back-up squad. ;) Seriously though, I would've let Knight in except he's not really a newb, just a guy who doesn't have an active game right now, and there's 8 'newer' players that I'ld like to get through first. Too many for a single game, though... UNLESS... (hmmm) OK, how's this sound for a plan: I'll set the game in my generic world (Otherwise known as BETA, which I use for most of my games). Not much you need to know about the world, basic D&D world, fairly high magic in some parts low in others (You'll be in an avg area), any Deity you can think of from the dieties and demigods book except the egyptian pantheon. So anyways, there's a few ideas for the set-up we can use, guys. I'ld like everyone (Of the 8) to vote on which two they'ld like most. #1 would be the 8 of you and a few NPCs on some sort of sailing vessel, sailing the open seas for one reason or another, getting into sea fights, exploring islands, surviving storms, discovering new lands, etc, etc. #2 Would be the 8 of you by yourselves as a fairly large adventuring party in basically a 'normal' type of game (Dungeon Crawling, Exploring, etc) #3 Would have you split into 2 groups of 4, Competing with each other for a similar goal, and trying to be the one to get it first. You wouldn't neccesarily be interacting with the other team, though your actions would probably affect them. (Going through the same places, comign across things the other 'team' has done, etc) #4 Would again have 2 Groups of 4, This time with opposite goals. You would be working either for rival governments/assosciations, or just one evil team one good, and could conceivably have to face the other group in battle. #5 Would also have you in 2 Groups of 4, Working together though not in the same group. Both Teams would be working for the same government or organization, but only rarely meet up with each other, perhaps maybe with one or a few joint missions, perhaps with no interaction. So vote for which two you'ld like the best out of these five (Just vote by Number, for example: I'ld rather have #1, or if not that then #4.) Once we figure that out, I'll post character creation guidelines and we'll get started.
