Here we go... the list of Wizards books this year and what use that my groups and I have made of them. January 2006 Player's Guide to Eberron - I bought it, thought it looked neat, but it has been languishing on my shelf since then, despite running Mark of Heroes and Xen'drik Expeditions. Races of the Dragon - Bought it, it looked neat, and will probably get used a lot in my next personal campaign, but otherwise it is sitting on the shelf. February 2006 Red Hand of Doom - After much anticipation, I started DMing this last Friday. The next session is tomorrow. Yay! March 2006 Power of Faerun - my first non-adventure FR purchase since 2001. I bought it for the advice on running high-level campaigns, but I'm very disappointed with this book. Too much generalities and not enough specific on constructing adventures for those games. Tome of Magic - still don't own this April 2006 Fantastic Locations: Fields of Ruin - I haven't used the adventure portion, but the maps have been the most useful from a FL product so far; the road is great, and the ruined keep has also made a few appearances. Complete Psionic - We've been using several of the extra material for the soulknife (which is very good). May 2006 Player's Handbook II - we've made extensive use of this book; especially the alternative class features, feats and spells. Great, great book. June 2006 Mysteries of the Moonsea - don't own this one. Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss - own it, but I'm not a fan of the series of monster-type books. No use so far. July 2006 Fantastic Locations: Dragondown Grotto - own it; haven't used the adventure, but the maps are very nice and have seen use in several sessions. Secrets of Xen'drik - own it; I really like this book, but haven't used material from it yet. Monster Manual IV - own it; I love this book. I've used several of the new monsters from it, and will be using more. August 2006 D&D Dungeon Tiles - own two sets; and have been using them quite a bit. Dragons of Faerun - don't own it. Tome of Battle - own it and really like it; I've only used a crusader from it as a NPC villain, however. Will see more use in later campaigns. September 2006 Faiths of Eberron - don't own it yet. (haven't seen it) The Twilight Tomb - own it; haven't used it yet. Dragon Magic - own it; haven't used it yet October 2006 Expedition to Castle Ravenloft - Own it. Love it. Haven't used it yet, but will! Complete Mage - We've had it only a couple of weeks, but, like PHB2, we're already using feats (reserve) and new spells from it. Very good book. November 2006 Dungeon Tiles II: Arcane Corridors - haven't seen Dragonmarked - haven't seen Cityscape - just bought it. Scourge of the Howling Horde - just bought it. Cheers!
