News submissions edited -why?

Is there a reason why submitted links to reviews from my site are often edited or left off completely? For example, today I submitted a story that contained all of the stuff currently listed on the front page including a link to a review of the Master Codex for the Warlords of the Accordlands RPG. However, the Warlord bit was not included at all. I double checked the code before I submitted it so I know that is not the issue. This is happening more and more of late with news scoops I submit. If the review is related to d20, it's usually a guarantee to be posted (but not always), but if it is something else gaming in nature, then it is likely not going to be a part of the news release.

Recent reviews that did not make it on the front page news include, Horrorclix, Star Wars Miniatures, D&D Miniatures, and Axis & Allies Miniatures. Since these games do come up in conversation on threads in the general forum, they are obviously of interest to gamers and the community here. So are the moderators/admin acting on old information that all news should be d20 only or is this just the result of an oversight? Considering that my site is pretty much only one of about three that is consisently generating new reviews for the gaming community, one would think that any review link would be welcome.

Just curious if someone had an answer.

We've never posted news on (or news about reviews of) miniatures - let alone non-D&D related miniatures. There's certainly never been a time when things like Axis & Allies have come even close to the purview of this site. Neither, despite the subjects coming up on the messageboards, do we cover computer games, movies [although we have CM for that] or any number of other things.

So, short answer - the examples you cite are off topic for this site. :)

Yet Warlords of the Accordlands is not a miniature game and is d20 and it was not included.

I posted a thread about the Horrorclix review and the last time I checked, it had 450 views and 18 posts. My point is, this site has grown well beyond just d20 and including news about gaming in general would be of more benefit, don't you think?

I haven't really any interest in running a general gaming website - sorry.

[Edit - just because a subject is discussed on the boards doesn't make it the subject of EN World; I see a thread on American Idol in one forum! :D ]

The Master Codex bit was my bad — I know that's d20, and I must have just snipped it out of there by mistake. As for the rest, I do take out non-d20 reviews from those posts. If something is d20, and I do cut it — please drop me a PM or send me an e-mail through the site. I don't surf the boards as much as I used to for these threads, so there's a very good chance that I won't see them, and it won't be fixed. I do read my e-mail and PMs, though.
