(Update for those who already know about this: Please include your email address in your RTF file) We are holding an Open Submission for a upcoming sourcebook, Tournaments, Fairs & Taverns. This is a sourcebook which will contain a large variety of games for use in your campaign - from dice games to card games, darts to arm wrestling, and other games more exotic and strange. Also included will be tournament-style games, such as jousts, archery contests and more. What we need from you is a single page submission as an .rtf file in Times New Roman font at a font size of 10 points. This should come in three sections: background, description and rules. The background section should describe the origin of the game and who plays it (nobility, peasants etc.); the description should describe the game itself, and the rules should describe the mechanics in d20 terms. Your submission should be sent to me (rangerwickett at hotmail.com) before March 15th. Submissions which are accepted will net their author a free copy of the completed .pdf product and credit within the book itself. You should indicate on your submisison whether your game is a Tournament (jousts, archery etc.), a Fairground Game (contests of strength and skill, not necessarily against an opponent) or a Tavern Game (dice, cards, darts, arm-wrestling etc). If you have some other idea, like tactical board games like chess, a variation of 'spin the bottle,' or something that's not in one of the other categories, we'll still accept the submission. I wonder if J.K. Rowling would get mad if I wrote up rules for Quidditch (from Harry Potter). ;)
