See, for me, the healing part makes perfect sense. Sure, many of the fey played tricks or enchanted people, but a lot of the sources of magical healing in myths were also tied to the same realms and themes as the Faerie. Unicorns didn't start as divine, they were woodland spirits, magical springs of healing water, elf maidens (and elves were fey) healing the grievous injuries of stalwart knights, ancient crones who held the cures to diseases or curses that plagued the people. And also, the sense of the safe haven, the place where you rest and the rest is greater than it was before, where you leave haler and heartier than you came, for this was a place of hospitality and serenity which soothed the soul as well as the body. Like a dryads grove. Fey healing is something I'm greatly looking forward to having, and personally, this is the first druid I've been really interested in trying out ever since the UA. I think it could be a ton of fun to try a Firbolg or Half-Dryad Circle of Dreams Druid whose role is that of a healer and person of wisdom, who occasionally is forced to remind people that even kindness has limits and and the hearthflame can burn just as hot as the flames of battle. Man... I'll need to find a group to play in where I can do this...
