In developing the Nexus system I have been slowly removing some of the you get this for that class level. Thus forcing the player to take a mix if they want an even type PC.
I am know looking at removing the save bonus assigned for levels.
So the check would be still
Mind Resolve (Old Will)
Body Resolve (Old Fort)
Agility Resolve (Old Ref) (Need a better name here)
You still roll a d20 for the check, but they become skills like everything else.
So my intitial thoughts are:
For every 3 roll rolled, d20 + skill ranks, you get a +2 added to the ability modifier set.
For D&D you get a +12 for a good skill at 20th, so its +12 +d20 + say +6 ability, or 38 max
For Nexus its 23 ranks +d20 ((43 max/3)x2, so 28) +6, or 32.
So I can see that the high end will be lower, but the low edn PC will have a higher at the start.
Any ideas to get it closer?
