NFL: Week 16

Crothian

First Post
Wow, some great games. The close Packer win over the Vikings, and then that thriller of KC and Oakland yesterday. Colts win a damn close one with a great comback, and I think over the past 3 weeks we have seen just how hard it was for Peyton to beat theat old Marino TD record. Steelers got revenge against the Ravens, but the Ravens got revenge with the hit on Big Ben. Man, I hope he's not that injured.

I was hoping the Pats Jets game would get aired around here, but I guess I'll just be hearing updates on that one. Soon, the AFC playoff piucture will mostly be done, and one finally note: Go Cardinals!! Win the NFC West!! ;)

WOOOOT Colts win a barn burner and multi record breaking game!!! Manning can finally put the record chase behind and has cemented his place as one of the best of all time. More importantly grabbing the number three spot in the afc.

Packers, they just don't go away. Panic in Pittsburgh, though the Steelers seem to think that BB is ok. Houston thwarts the Jags plan for playoffs this week. Not sure what happened with the Atl, and Saints game. Good week for Football man I can't wait for the playoffs!!!

Merry X-Mas to me.

Thank you Houston! The Bills are stil playing well and didn't have a let down in a possible trap-game against San Francisco.

I hope Rothlisberger is OK, and that Cower decides to sit him out next week anyway. If Buffalo can beat Pittsburgh at the Ralph, there are now two different scenarios where they get into the playoffs: if Denver loses to Indy at home, Denver is out; or if the Jets lose at St. Louis, the Bills would own the tie-breaker against them. (Wow, after starting 5-0, and then going 9-3, what a choke job it would be of the Jets don't make the playoffs!)

It'll be interesting to see how Pittsburgh does against the Bills. I expect to see most of the starters for the first half, but since the game is meaningless to them I expect the Bills to come away with the win.

Man, you can set your watch to the Vikings' choking every year. I feel bad for Minnesota fans. The Jets always seem to fall apart this time of year, too. They've had similar collapses in the past.

It was insane watching the Broncos-Titans game last night. I can't believe that Tennessee's defense could get that bad that quickly. It looked like the Titan's d-line was coached to over-pursue. Every single running play, they'd go screaming up field, completely away from the play as the Broncos o-line and back went to the right or left.

Great game in Indy - if the Chargers had pulled it off, that would've been nuts. I still think they're a dangerous team, but this is the year where the Steelers, Patriots, and Colts are all playing like championship caliber teams. It reminds me of the 80s, when we had the 49ers, Redskins, and Giants all fielding dominant squads year after year, with the Eagles starring as the Buffalo Bills.

It'll be really interesting to see how the Pats play going forward. They always seem to play their best when everyone counts them out. I think the loss at Miami might turn out to be what they need to get fired up. They absolutely dominated the Jets today. Pittsburgh has to be happy that Indy beat SD - I think that the Colts are the one team that could give them serious match-up problems.

Ya, I'm so happy the Colts won, let them go to New England and see if they can get their revenge. Jets have to be happy as well, this way they goto the Chargers and don't have to face the Colts. It'll be really interesting if the Bills make it and play the Colts. THe Bills have been on fire with their offense and might actually compete if it turns into a score fest. Of course the Bills defense is pretty good so they might be able to slow the Colts down.

And the Cardinals failed me. I was so looking forward to them getting a home playoff game.

I just couldn't believe the Packers/Vikings. Some of the best offense and ugliest defense I've seen since...the last time they played. :)

Luv the Pack, hate the Vikings. Great game! The playoff implications for the Packers are pretty good, but speaking of chokes, they haven't done so well in the play-offs of late...

Hate the Cowboys, hate the Redskins, but what an awesome 3 minutes to that game. Vinny actually pulled it off. Did not expect that. Not at all.

Dave, I'm pulling for your Bills! I think they'll beat Pittsburg. Your best bet is for the Colts to beat Denver. Normal, I'd say it was a given, but they might sit Manning (he already has the record) and others since the #3 spot is theirs. That would be a shame for the Bills.

If the Bills make the playoffs, they're still my pick to go to the Superbowl.
