Pathfinder 1E NF's experience with Curse of the Crimson Throne; Answer key for life! (not)

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
So it's probably been now...gosh 4 years maybe since I started this. I know I ran it just before the Core Rule was published.

I had just bought all 6 of the books online. (Mom was mad about that I recall...)

Anyway I started out thinking "How much do I want this to be like Scarred Lands?" Then I realized as I read more and more of Golorian, this isn't the Scarred Lands.

It's slightly better.

After running this and now on hiatus from running Carrion Crown Adventure Path, I can honestly say this:

I still love Scarred Lands, but Golorian has quickly ascended the ranks of favorite created world status.

In any event my experience with this taught me three things:

1) Running the game in 3.5 type deal made for some interesting encounters that I changed up.

2) Never under estimate a player's enjoyment/laughter at the fact your Night Hag sounds like Creole/ Southern Cajun woman.

3) Alchemists destroy dragons.

Now of course some of this changed as the rule set changed, but I still think those three things still hold true.

Does this mean you're going to change your sig?

One of the most memorable NPCs I had was an Illithid. Every time he finished talking I put my chin to the back of my hand, wiggled my fingers and made strange tentacle sucking sounds. I don't even know why I did it the first time, but after everyone's reaction I had to do it everytime after as well.

No Dog. It just might mean I take a little longer on doing a conversion to something resembling more Pathfinder for Scarred Lands.

I've had a few others, like the ignorant peasants that wanted to toss a corpse into the water rather than let him be buried in the grave yard. I used the world "Nigromancer" You can blame my usage of that on Pratchett.

Any good bomb will wreak havoc with a dragon. So alchemists rock in this respect. :)

Yes well here's the kickeer, Budda, old bud. Before I read the rules I didn't realize it was TOUCH AC. I thought the Dragon would win based on that alone. Course I should I have remembered the axiom "Bombs go BOOOM!"
