The 26-year-old defenseman underwent hernia surgery over the summer and is expected to miss at least a week.</p><p></p><p>Also placed on injured reserve were center Pierre Turgeon and left wings Brad May and Cody McCormick.</p><p></p><p>Turgeon is listed as day-to-day as he recovers from offseason rotator cuff surgery. May underwent reconstructive shoulder surgery this week and is expected to miss four to six months, while McCormick is out with a chest injury.</p></blockquote><p></p>
