The 32-year-old, who was drafted third overall by San Jose in 1992, signed a five-year, $17.5 million contract with the Flyers prior to last season, when he recorded three goals and 21 assists in 79 games.Philadelphia did receive some good news, however, learning that defenseman Denis Gauthier would be ready for the team's home opener against the New York Rangers on Saturday evening.
