Consider a class that allows the character to activate Blink at will (maybe enhancing Blink to eventually negate some or all of the miss chance associated with Blinking) as an SLA. Now give it Dimension Door either at-will or a certain number of times per day, as a spell-like ability (standard action). Add in an ability that allows for extremely short-range teleports as swift actions (say, 5 feet, and maybe increasing one or two more five foot increments as more levels are gained); this is just to enhance combat maneuverability. Blink no longer provides a sneak attack bonanza, but this class would aid in setting up flanking, which DOES provide a sneak attack bonanza. Of course being able to DD at will provides all sorts of utility perks as well, but again, Warlock already gets that if it wants it (and it does) around about level 8. I haven't seen it break the game yet. How many levels this is spread out over is significant. Every level of Nightcrawler is a level of rogue, monk, or something else that isn't gained. Spread it out over too many levels and it just isn't worth it (especially since all of this is attainable with the right investment in magic items). Let's call it a 5 level PrC with hit dice, BAB, and saves as a rogue, but fewer skill points (6). Most casters gain access to Blink by level 5, so the class should be able to be entered by level 6. Something like: 1. Blink as an SLA 1/day, 5 foot steps may be taken as teleports (allowing the character to effectively ignore a lot of difficult terrain impediments to 5 foot steps) 2. Blink 2/day, Dimension Door 1/day, miss chance for attacking while blinking is reduced to 10% 3. Blink 3/day, Evasion (or Imp. Evasion is the character already has Evasion), Dimension Door 2/day, the character can move 10 feet with a 5 foot step provided the option to teleport is used 4. Blink at will, Dimension Door 3/day, miss chance for attacking while blinking is reduced to 0% 5. Dimension Door at will, Teleport 1/day, the character can move 15 feet with a 5 foot step action provided the option to teleport is used, targets who cannot see invisible beings DO lose their Dex bonus to AC against your attacks while you are blinking I might consider taking this if I were playing a rogue, a monk, or a monk/rogue. Maybe even a fighter. Might you?
