Nithrekel spends almost every waking moment looking for any exploitable weakness that Hazergal might exhibit, but there is little to work with. A squad of gnolls that are completely faithful to him as well as an iron golem that never leaves the wizard’s side constantly guards Hazergal. Most daunting of all is Hazergal’s vast magical power, Nithrekel has no way to determine the amount of arcane protection that surrounds the wizard, but he is sure it is considerable.

Nithrekel knows that killing Hazergal would be an undertaking that would likely cost him his life, but he fears that even once his planar contract expires he will not be allowed to leave Hazergal’s tower. There is even the possibility the Nithrekel will not live to see the end of his fifty year imprisonment, for he has made more than a few enemies in the ranks of Hazergal’s minions. Most dangerous of all these enemies is Bathet Nar the mighty minotaur barbarian that acts as general of Hazergal’s forces.
